Just making a few observations.

In no particular order

Those would be:

  1. In order for Zemanta to work, one has to use the visual editor.
  2. Doing so will result in chunks of sourcecode to be rendered completely different from intended!
  3. Posting chunks of sourcecode tend to get garbled up when sent over email as well.

As a result I am somewhat ‘forced’ to write my posts in ‘pure’ html once more. Not a bad thing really, but one could or should for example expect external links to open up in a new window/tab and internal links on the same. One shouldn’t have to tick this option on. While including links in both versions of the wordpress editor.

The other nuisance would be to see sourcecode tags get garbled up when switching between html and visual editing style. Therefore dear wordpress, please keep my formatting efforts in tact. Also why is the <abbr title=”abbreviation”>tag</abbr> tag allowed and the <acronym title=”Acronym”>tag</acronym> not!?

By no means am I criticizing what wordpress.com offers me! It’s only that there are *possibly* some unintended side effects to note. I mean I often use chunks of sourcecode to explain/clarify my actions and I’d love to see my formatting to stay in tact. This rather than having to clean up after (not including spelling and grammar errors here.).

That’s all folks…

Kindest regards,

Alex

On a side note: While I do appreciate people who tell me they liked what I wrote about or how they have followed my blog for a while. The best way IMO to show Your appreciation is by simply clicking ‘like‘ on my post(s) (and share them with… ), or just follow my blog instead. 😉
